“As a project management company who sells the program management, cost savings and ROI of energy efficient light for both interior and exterior environments, we felt it best to capitalize on these savings and show our clients and prospects we believe in the programs we sell by putting them into our own facility.
The new LED is much brighter and whiter than previous lighting, but not as harsh, and just has a better environmental look. The quality of light has greatly improved over the previous lighting.”
The InSite Group specializes in all facets of interior and exterior brand asset installation, including lighting upgrades. So it was only fitting the brand management company update the lighting at its Knoxville, Tennesse location to showcase the LED products it specifies to clients.
The InSite Group self-performed an interior lighting upgrade of the entire, 11,000 square-foot building using LED solutions by MaxLite. A total of 219 recessed cans and troffers in common areas, private offices and conference rooms were converted to LED using a combination of MaxLite LED Troffer Retrofit Kits, DirectFit T8 Lamps and PAR Lamps. Most of the project involved retrofitting 2’ x 2’ and 2’ x 4’ fluorescent parabolic troffers, which ranged from 64 to 128 watts, with 23- and 33-watt volumetric LED Troffer Retrofit Kits (TRK). Replacing the multi-lamp fixtures with the sleek, single-basket design of the TRK immediately created a cleaner, more contemporary ceiling aesthetic. Switching from the warm glow of the incumbent fixtures to a color temperature of 4000K also resulted in crisper, whiter light that was more appropriate to the working environment." -- Rob Karpick, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, The InSite Group/em>

Sage Architects:
The 1400-square foot office of Sage Architecture in Sacramento, California, was retrofitted with six FlatMAX® Edge Lit LED Flat Panels, which were installed and suspended from the office’s 20-foot ceilings on the mezzanine level.
--“We were going for a modern minimalist, high-tech look,” said Pam Whitehead, AIA Principal of Sage Architecture. “We needed high quality lighting fixtures that would give good overall general and task lighting with energy efficient LEDs. The LED Flat Panels project a warm light, not a cold blue light like fluorescents.”
